Department Features and Goals

1.      To cultivate digital marketing management talent in response to the fast-paced digital era:

The 21th century is a new era of e-commerce and mobile commerce. Digital marketing has become a major marketing model globally. The department aims to cultivate the talents of our future digital marketing managers to satisfy the needs of modern mobile e-commerce operations in enterprise organizations.

 

2.      To cultivate technology talent to engage with the vast opportunities in cloud computing applications:

Globally, large enterprises have been accelerating their use of Internet cloud computing. Through the integration of mobile applications and cloud computing, a new business service model has been developing. The department aims to cultivate talent in cloud computing to meet the growing needs of the cloud computing applications and service industries.

 

3.      To foster smart healthcare informatics through the integration of cloud computing and the Internet of Things (IoT):

The department aims to foster smart healthcare informatics engineers through the integration of Internet cloud computing, the Internet of Things (IoT) and mobile application development. In addition, we also instruct students to use IoT technologies, such as digitally connected sensors to develop front end-devices for smart home applications.

 

 

 

Department’s important achievements

 

1.      We became IEET (Institute of Engineering Education Taiwan) accredited for the 3-year period of 2014-2017. We have set our goals on upgrading teaching quality and enhancing our students’ competitive ability in the workplace.

 

2.      The students in this department obtained about 1,000 professional certificates between 2013 and 2015, reinforcing their expertise in the workplace.

 

3.      From 2014 to 2015, 27 corporations offered our students internship opportunities in various fields including digital marketing, business management, and the healthcare industry to broaden their study domains.

 

4.      In 2014, the department did a theme-based research project (Integrated Management Platform Development Project of Delta Smart Campus) with the Ministry of Economic Affairs with the cooperation of Delta Electronics Inc., Asus and Hamastar Technology Co. ASUSTeK Computer Inc.

 

5.      The department has implemented contests for research project plans including the elite student training plan, practical research system reform, integration of research projects, and internship experience to strengthen their competitive ability and to motivate student excellence.

 

6.      The department encourages and facilitates students to form study groups to promote learning effectiveness.

 

7.      The department has designed various certificate courses including the e-commerce planner, MTA, CCENT, ACA, OCPJP, and iClone 3D to help students obtain certificates in the respective technologies.

 

8.      Our employment course programs are continually approved and subsided by The Ministry of Labor (MOL), aiming to foster talent in technology, including multimedia application, E-business, smart e-commerce, and big data analysis. Through hands-on training courses, these programs can improve students’ competitive performance in the workplace.

 

9.      We completed a project subsidized by the Ministry of Education called The University Faculty Study-Service Project in Government Institutions or Major Corporations, visiting our affiliated hospital and other hospitals to understand new and existing opportunities with cloud computing and mobile healthcare systems. By studying their medical information management systems, smart healthcare systems, and electronic medical charts, teachers enhanced their practical research ability in these fields.

 

10.  Our courses, designed to integrate digital and medical information, aim to cultivate elites in the field of digital healthcare information.

 

11.  This department has striven to establish an excellent learning environment and to offer student internship opportunities to help them put theories into practice and successfully enter the workplace.   Towards this goal, we have implemented co-teaching projects with industry professionals and have had students’ research projects led by industry professionals. We also visit corporations, have off-campus internships, engage in industry-academy cooperation, and offer employment course programs.
